Wokha District Administration organized a one-day workshop on various schemes including Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative (CMMFI) on 15th December 2022 at the Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall.
Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS while briefing the gathering during the workshop said this programme was aimed to help and guide local entrepreneurs as to how the schemes can be availed, he also stated despite the many schemes and projects introduced by the government to help the public, due to lack of awareness, the general public cannot avail the opportunity and with the view to sensitize the public and the entrepreneurs, this workshop has been organized.
DC also stated that genuine applicants and entrepreneurs will be allowed to avail of the schemes, and he urged them to prepare the project reports appropriately as selection will be done based on the feasibility of the reports. He also appealed to the beneficiaries to judiciously utilize the funds so that their target can be achieved and also urged them to recover the loans on time.
Lead District Manager SBI Wokha Branch also highlighted the gathering about the procedures in the process of filing applications and also reminded them to prepare the reports in such a way that they match with their projects because eligible beneficiaries will be selected accordingly, and also assured of all possible assistance while preparing the project reports and filing the application/forms.
Skill Development Officer, Wokha Anuranjan Singh also appraised the gathering about the different schemes available and introduced by the government for the welfare of the local entrepreneurs, unemployed youths, and the Self Help Groups. He also highlighted, in brief, the funding pattern and subsidy support related to the various schemes and projects.
The meeting was attended by the Wokha District Village Council Association, Wokha District Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LSU, Wokha Town Student’s Union, Doyang Fisherman Union, Hutokito MCSL Wokha Framer Producer Company Limited, ADPM, NSRM and area coordinator NSRLM Wokha.
