Along with the rest of the World, Shamator Town under the aegis of Self Employed Women Association Shamator (SEWA) and Yimkhiungberü Arih Ako Shamator Area (YBASA) observed the World Environment Day at Shamator on the 4th of June 2022.

Rukeangberu SSG VLO NSRLM observed the One Earth Tree plantation drive under the theme "Each One Plant One" and cleanliness drive "Say No to Plastic". The SWEA and YBSA members got together at the Public Ground, Shamator where tree saplings were distributed.
