World No Tobacco Day was observed at Mon at DC’s Conference Hall, Mon on 31st May 2021 with the theme, "Commit to Quit". 

Speaking at the programme, DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS, stressed on the importance of making right choices and developing good habits over the bad ones. He further appreciated the NTCP Mon Team for their hard work and efforts. 

Theme speaker, Jr. Dental Specialist, Dr. Neingutunuoshared on consumption and causes due to tobacco. 

The programme also declared the winners of poster competition on tobacco. 

The following are the winners of the competition:

1st prize- MS. SHIKNA, Class 12 , St John's hr. Sec. School Mon

2nd prize- AWA T.M Konyak class 9 from DBHSS

3rd prize- ANGLANG S KONYAK Class 10 from St Mary's High School

Jr. Dental Surgeon, Dr. Amenla delivered the opening remarks while vote of thanks was given by DNO NTCP, Mon, Dr. I. Simon Sumi. The programme was chaired by District Consultant, NTCP Mon, E Nyeamying Konyak.
