District Legal Services Authority in Collaboration with District Tobacco Control Cell and Assam Rifles observed World No Tobacco Day at Town Hall Tuensang on 31st May on the Theme 'We Need Food, Not Tobacco' with K. Yapang Longchar NPS, Deputy Superintendent.

Yapang sharing his personal experience, said one must have the willpower to quit Tabacco, he also encouraged the students to do away with chewing tobacco which is harmful to health as well as the economy in general.

The programme was chaired by Antimangyang Chang Retainer Lawyer TDLSA, welcome address was delivered by Antitola Chang VP GHSS Thangjam, Legal Aspects of COTPA Act 2003 by B. Yemlong Chaba Panel Lawyer TDLSA, Effects of Tabacco and it's Consequences by Dr. Aoyanger, Jr. Dental Surgeon DH Tuensang and How to Quit Tabacco by Dr. Firdous Ahmed, 7 Dental Unit AR. In the Painting Competition Shilula, Anden Moake, and Sangliba T Sangtam were adjudged 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively.
