The Governor of Nagaland, Nand Kishore Yadav, attended the Youth Conclave cum Cultural Fest 2026 as the Chief Guest at Town Hall, Dimapur, on 12th July 2026, organised by the Linguistic Minority Forum of Nagaland.

Expressing his appreciation to the organisers for hosting the event, the Governor described the conclave as a meaningful platform that celebrates the rich cultural diversity of the State and promotes harmony among different communities. He remarked that Dimapur, as the gateway to Nagaland, stands as a vibrant confluence of cultures, languages and traditions, where diversity continues to strengthen the social fabric.

The Governor congratulated the Linguistic Minority Forum of Nagaland for bringing together various non-Naga communities residing in the State. He acknowledged their valuable contributions to Nagaland's economy, education and social harmony, stating that such collective efforts reinforce the spirit of unity and peaceful coexistence.

Addressing the youth, the Governor said they are the custodians of their heritage and the architects of Nagaland's future. He encouraged them to equip themselves with knowledge, skills and an entrepreneurial mindset while embracing innovation and responsible leadership. He urged young people not only to seek opportunities but also to create them for the benefit of society.

Emphasising the importance of unity, the Governor said that identity should serve as a force that unites rather than divides. He called upon people from all communities to work together with empathy, innovation and mutual respect, noting that the progress of Dimapur and Nagaland depends on the collective efforts of all its citizens, irrespective of language or community.

The Governor expressed hope that the Youth Conclave would strengthen friendships, inspire fresh ideas and motivate young people to contribute meaningfully to society. Congratulating the organisers, awardees and participants, he said that just as a rainbow derives its beauty from its many colours, Dimapur shines because of its diversity. He urged everyone to continue celebrating differences, strengthening unity and working together for a brighter future.
