In commemoration of the 11th Inception Day of National Highways & Infrastructures Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) a Youth Football Match was organised on 30th August 2025 at Local ground, Meluri.
Deputy Commissioner, Meluri, K. Mhathung Tsanglao graced the occasion as the special guest. He expressed his appreciation to the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) for bringing road connectivity development to the interior parts of the country including Meluri District. The DC wished the participants to give their best for the final match.
The participating Teams include, Christian Mission Higher Secondary School, Meluri; S. Pethury School, Meluri; St. Xavier Higher Secondary School, Meluri and Government Higher Secondary School Meluri.
The Final Match was played between Government Higher Secondary School and Christian Mission Higher Secondary School. The Government Higher Secondary School emerged victorious with a score line of 5-0 and walked away with a trophy and cash price of Rs 10000/-, the runners up with Rs. 5000/- and the participants with Rs. 3000/- each.
Akoru Thupitor from Government Higher Secondary School, Meluri was awarded the best player of the tournament.
