The department of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) Kiphire under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in Collaboration with the District Administration Kiphire, organized a one-day mega event with the theme

"Sense of duty among the Citizens" at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall Kiphire on 15th October 2022.

Special guest Ane Khieya EAC Kiphire, in her speech, stated that as a good and responsible citizen of the country one must be aware of the fundamental rights and duties. Responsible citizens built their community into a good habitat to live in by following the principles and helping others and also urged the youth to inculcate the habit of cleanliness.

With the fast-changing development today the world needs those youths who are hard-working and dedicated to their work so she appealed to them to inculcate" Dignity of Labour" and to abstain from all social evil practices to create a sound and healthy environment.

The features of the fest were competitions on the cultural event, declamation, young writer's contest, young artists, and photography contest.

P. Rebecca Rangnamei DYO, NYK Kiphire in her welcome address stated that the main objective of the programme is to develop the personality and leadership qualities of the young and to engage them in nation-building activities. She mentioned that the NYKS activities include education, cleanliness, health sanitation, awareness of social issues and self-employment and entrepreneurship development, and also in preserving the rich culture.

The resource person of the event was Gagan, Asst professor ZPGC and Tsalichum Sangtam General Secretary chamber of commerce and industries Kiphire and Sukanya, MGNF Ministry of Skill development and entrepreneurship.

The programme was chaired by Nuzise followed up by a question hour. Special presentations were presented by Thripongchum, Vilika, and Modern girls.
