Commemorating World Environment Day, The Kohima District Administration in collaboration with Züb Züb India, Nagaland Forest Department, Kohima Smart City Development Limited, and Kohima Municipal Council organized a mass Cleanliness Drive with a theme "BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION" within all Wards of its Municipality under the National Clean Air Program (NCAP) on 5th June 2023.

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C IAS flagged off the Street Cleaning of Züb Züb Your City (ZZYC) from Old MLA junction to Capital Cultural Hall and after the completion of the mass cleanliness drive, a short formal programme was held at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima.

In the program, The DC Kohima flagged off of NCAP Promo Video and said that social work cannot be done every day, therefore, urged everyone to inculcate civic sense and be responsible citizens in keeping the surroundings, towns, and cities clean. He also encouraged the gathering to have a sense of belonging by protecting the environment, public roads, buildings, and places and asked to focus on sustainable development. The DC  urged the students and all stakeholders to take the vital information and disseminate it even to the village level where rural masses inhabit.

            Senior Manager, Kohima Smart City Development Limited (KSCDL), Angke Konyak delivered a short speech. Also, the Founder, Züb Züb India, Pelenuo shared about its journey titled "Let me tell you a story." While the Range Forest Officer, Pezaneinuo Chielie presented a topic on "Time to Contribute to our Planet Earth." and also administered Pledge on "Life Style for Environment" (LiFE), The Administrator, KMC, Lanusenla Longkumer, who also spoke highlighted the aims and objectives of "Meru LiFE, Mera Swachh Shekar Campaign, and its successful culmination. EAC Kezocha, Molosangla Ozukum pronounced a vote of thanks. Officials from the Administration, KMC, KSCDL, ZÜB ZÜB India, NGOs, Public Leaders from Wards/ Sectors/Colonies, and a large number of students from different schools were part of the programme. 22 Schools, 19 Wards, and 48 colonies were covered under this National Clean Air Program (NCAP), tree saplings were distributed to the participants, and the host of the day's program was Peletoulie Khamo.
