The Zunheboto District held its monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting on the 11th of September 2023 at the DC conference hall. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS, who also served as the Vice Chairman of DPDB.

At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy Commissioner congratulated the winners of the recently concluded inter-departmental tournament and expressed gratitude to all the departments for their cooperation. He also commended the District Sports Council Zunheboto (DSCZ) for successfully organizing the tournament.

The meeting agenda included discussions on several important topics. The first was the proposal for opening new Government Primary Schools (GPS) in the recently recognized villages of Nivishe and Khuniho. Additionally, the board considered the upgradation of Government Middle School (GMS) Tokiye to a Government High School (GHS). Following detailed discussions and a report from the Education Department, the board approved these proposals and decided to forward them to the higher authorities for final approval.

Another key agenda item focused on the creation of new sub-centers in Koiboto and Phuye villages. Furthermore, the board discussed the upgradation of Nalto Sub-Center (SC) to a Primary Health Center (PHC). The members reached a consensus to submit these proposals to higher authorities for their prompt approval.

The last agenda item centered on the upcoming celebration of the Golden Jubilee of the creation of Zunheboto District, which is scheduled for December. Deputy Commissioner called upon everyone to contribute in any possible way to ensure that the Jubilee celebration becomes a grand and memorable event. He also advised all departments to showcase their achievements and past works during the celebration.

In conclusion, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Bhanudas Mali expressed gratitude to all the members for their presence and participation in the meeting.
