Zunheboto Range Students Union held its 38th biannual conference on 12-14th January 2022 at Baimho village under the theme, 'Embracing the Versatility' with Advisor of School Education K.T. Sukhalu, IAS (Retd) as special guest.
The Advisor exhorted the students to have an ambition in life and work effortlessly towards it because to excel in present times one has to be best among the best. The Advisor said the decision to set up Nagaland Staff Selection Board (SSB) was not for the politicians but to promote meritocracy and give equal opportunity for everyone to get employed according to one's own dedication and hard work, he encouraged the students to be more sincere in their studies.
He requested the village heads and elders to take good care of the government properties i.e government schools in their respective villages as it belongs to the people of the particular village and also added that the government decision to set up Government schools at every village was to give free education to all the children everywhere. He requested them to take care of the teachers and to stop the practice of proxy culture in all the villages as it will only negatively affect their children's career and future.
He advised the student leaders to take a day out during the session next time for student’s workshop and invite intellectual and qualified persons as resource persons so as to guide the students, clear their doubts etc. for their future educational endeavors.
Lastly the Advisor requested everyone not to be careless regarding the third pandemic wave- to get vaccinated and to always wear mask everywhere.
Earlier the program was chaired by former General Secretary ZRSU Amento Awomi, Invocation prayer was delivered by Pastor Yemishe Baptist Church, N. Atozhe Awomi, Presidential address was delivered by President ZRSU, Nito V Zhimomi; Greetings message was delivered by the official of Sumi Students Union and followed by cultural competitions.
