To mark the 10th Anniversary of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) Scheme, Niuland District Administration along with Social Welfare Department organized a programme on 22nd Jan 2025 at DC Conference hall, Niuland. Deputy Commissioner Niuland, Sara S Jamir delivered a keynote address followed by the pledge ceremony and signature campaign.
Introduction on BBBP was delivered by DPO I/C, Sentimenla Pongener. These activities will continue till March 8th 2025 by engaging stakeholder like School, Women group and Local authorities.
BBBP Scheme was launched in 2015 by the Government of India to address concerns about gender discrimination and women empowerment in the country. The BBBP scheme aims to educate citizens against gender bias and improve the efficiency of welfare service for girls.
