13th NATIONAL VOTERS’ DAY HELD AT TUENSANG

District administration and Election office Tuensang conducted a 13th National Voters Day’ at DC’s Conference Hall on 25th January 2023 with the Theme “Nothing like voting, I vote for sure”.

Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Tuensang Nokchasashi said as the theme codes election is the biggest event in democracy and also encourage to enjoy the power of the vote and should not be influenced by the muscle power and bribery which discourages your right to vote and electing desired leaders. Voting is the only way through which your voice can be heard and real meaning in enjoying your rights in electing true leader for the government he said. National voters’ day is celebrated to commemorate the foundation day of the ECI and the objective of ECI is no one should be left out from the electoral processes in the country he said. He also highlighted on the introduction of the online voting for the PwDs and senior citizens but he also encouraged the PwDs and senior citizens to come and participate in the election processes. He also appreciated the tireless efforts of the election branch Tuensang BLOs for enabling all eligible voters to be enrolled in the latest eroll and also congratulate the newly enrolled voters of the district. He also felicitated C. Akhangnongba SA PWD 51/21 YAngpi ‘B’, Chomongliba PT GPS 52/23 Phir Ahir, Yensenlepba Chang GT 53/19mNAP sector S/W and A. Chumikham Chang PT 54/9Tuensang Village as best performing BLOs under Tuensang district.

Thungchanbemo Tungoe ADC & ERO Tuensang conducted the NVD pledge while Nilo Katiry AEO Tuensang addressed the welcome address in the programme and Message from Election Commission of India was also displayed in the programme.
