The Chief Minister of Nagaland, Dr. Neiphiu Rio, has expressed profound sorrow and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased in the tragic bus accident that occurred between 10 Mile and Peducha in Kohima district on the night of 31st January 2026.
Condoling the untimely demise of members of the Chümoukedima Ao Baptist Church, the Chief Minister announced ex-gratia of ₹2.00 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
The Chief Minister has also announced financial assistance of ₹50,000 each to those seriously injured and conveyed his wishes for their speedy recovery.
