I am deeply grieved by the passing of Shri Imkong L. Imchen, Hon'ble Advisor for Information & Public Relations and Soil & Water Conservation on Tuesday, the 11th November 2025 at Guwahati, Assam.

Late. Imchen was more than a politician. He was a statesman of rare character, known for his humor, openness and fearless voice in speaking truth for the people he represented and the Nagas in general. His warmth and wit touched many lives and his candor reflected the courage of a man who led with both heart and conviction.

His passing leaves a void not only in public life but also in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. Late. Imchen's legacy of honesty, service and compassion will continue to inspire generations to come.

I extend my deepest condolences to his family, colleagues and constituents. May his noble soul rest in eternal peace.
