In pursuant to the order dated June 3, 2026, passed by the Gauhati High Court (Kohima Bench) in PIL No. 1/2024, the Deputy Commissioner, Peren, Hiazu Meru has issued a public notice to the general public and all affected landowners along the NH-329A (Pimla Junction to Mhanamtsi stretch) in Peren District. The purpose of this notice is to identify any existing land disputes within the Right to Way (RoW) and to secure formal undertakings from landowners waiving future claims over these lands. A compliance report will be submitted to the Gauhati High Court accordingly.
Therefore, any such individual must submit their claim or objection in writing to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Peren, within 20 (twenty) days from the date this notice is issued and published.
Each submission must include the following details:
a) Claimant's Personal Details: Full name, current postal address, and contact number.
b) Property Details: A precise description and the exact location of the claimed land.
c) Grounds of Claim: The specific nature and legal basis of your claim, right, title, interest, or objection.
d) Supporting Evidence: Legible copies of all relevant documents supporting your claim.
e) Signed Undertaking: A formal, signed statement explicitly confirming whether or not you will waive all future claims, rights, or interests regarding the land within the NH-329A Right of Way (RoW).
