The Deputy Commissioner's Tseminyu Japheth Woch (NCS) has informed to all residents of Tseminyu District that the first phase of the census 2027, will be commence from 1st July to 30th July 2026. In this regard all residents have been requested to extend full cooperation to the Enumerators and Supervisors who had legally authorised to conduct the census within their assigned Block.

            He also emphasized that every resident is legally required to co-operate and permit census functionaries access to their house, and allowing officials to pain or affix necessary letters, marks or numbers and properties and answering all questions correctly and truthfully to the best of their knowledge while responding to all census related questions.

            DC further notified that any person who obstruct or hinders census officials in the discharge of their duties by refusing to answer, denying access to property or providing false information or trespassing into census office, commit a punishable offence and shall be held liable for prosecution under, the census Act 1948 and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita which could include a fine and imprisonment or both.
