The Deputy Commissioner Tseminyu, Japheth Woch, NCS has informed that the Tseminyu Union has fixed a date for traditional practices of Jhum burning on 13th March 2026 at 11:00 AM onwards at Tsensun Area Tseminyu jurisdictions.
In this connection, all the Villages and Town in and around have been informed to remain vigilant and take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of forest fire in their area and to mobilize volunteers to control fire in case of emergency.
The Union is instructed to ensure that the Jhum is burnt in controlled manner with proper monitoring and take precautionary measures to avoid spreading of forest fire to the neighbouring areas.
