The Department of Health & Family Welfare has informed that the department had discussed on the issue of License to Health Centres/ Hospitals/ Clinics and took serious note of the various Health Centres/ Hospitals/ Clinics not adhering to the basic norms under Nagaland Health Care Establishment Authority Act-1997 (NHCE).
The Department instructed to all Health Centres/ Hospitals/ Clinics in the state of Nagaland to adhere strictly the following orders for well-being of the citizens and in the interest of Public safety.
All Health Centres/ Hospitals/ Clinics are directed to apply for Renewal of License 6 (six) months before the date of expiry.
Health Centres/ Hospitals/ Clinics are also directed to first obtain License before operationalization of their Health Centres/ Hospitals/ Clinics.
It has come to the notice of the authority that, some Pharmacies are engaging Doctors in their Pharmacy for consultation. Engaging a doctor is deemed to be a Clinic, and such Pharmacy who engages a doctor should invariably obtain a License under Clause – 9 of the Nagaland Health Care Establishment Authority Act-1997.
