SDO Electrical Sub-Division Mon, Er. Thanyalo Kath informed all the citizens and electricity consumers of Mon Town that the Installation of Smart Electricity meters is being carried out as per the directions and policy initiatives of the Government of India under the power sector digitalization programme namely RDSS (Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme). The purpose of smart metering is to improve transparency, billing accuracy, energy management, and overall efficiency of electricity services for consumers. The installation process is being conducted through authorized agencies and officials only. All the consumers are requested to extend their cooperation to the installation teams during the ongoing work.

Further, the general public is advised not to believe, spread or circulate any rumours misleading information or false news regarding smart meters and the installation process. Spreading unverified information may create unnecessary confusion and fear among the public. For any clarification or official information, consumers are requested to contact the Department or authorized ANVIL officials only.
