Deputy Commissioner Longleng, W. Manpai Phom, NCS, has notified that there will a mass social work on 22nd November, 2024 from 6:00 AM onwards on account of the upcoming festive seasons.
The mass social work will be conducted covering District Hq, Sub-Division Hq, Circle Hq and all the villages under Longleng District with the active participation of all the Administrative Officer, HoDs, Ward Presidents, Business Establishments, NGOs/Churches and Village Council.
The DC further directed that necessary steps be taken to ensure that the following measures are taken by 29th November 2024:
1. Roadside building materials and debris are to be cleared.
2. Painting, lighting of shops and business establishments and hoisting of stars shall be ensured and dustbins should be placed outside the shops.
3. Drains in front of shops/buildings/approach roads are not blocked.
4. Encroachment of road surface by approach slopes between the road and the footpath in front of roadside shops and establishments/buildings do not reduce the space for vehicular traffic.
5. Relocate dumping yards away from the entry points of the respective town jurisdictions.
6. Fines to be levied on people for dirtying the roads and obstructing smooth movement.
