Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pungro, Hotolu Sema, NCS, has informed that a mass social work will be conducted at Pungro from 6:00AM - 8:00 AM on 5th June 2026 as part of the World Environment Day celebration 2026. All shops have been directed to remain closed till 8:00 AM.
It also informed all citizens under Pungro Sub-Division to actively participate in the mass social work. It Further directed all Ward leaders, Town GBs and Head of educational Institutions to spearhead the cleanliness drive. Additionally, all the Citizens are informed and encouraged to be aware of the garbage deposition (except foliage or plant waste) location during and after the social work.
The designated garbage pickup points are Shorih colony, BOC junction, Kiphire Road junction above hospital, Six Star junction, Junction below United Pentecostal Church, Saramati School junction, below Gas Agency Circular Road, near SBI, BDO Office junction, Daily Bazzar junction, Police point main town, Sunrise Road junction, ADC office Junction, Power station/GPS forest ward, police station and cemetery road junction.
