MLA, Nuklutoshi during the question hour of the Eight Session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly at NLA Hall, Kohima on 12th March 2026 queried on the status of the CFC Food Processing Unit at Yaongyimsen and the expected date for its completion and the beginning of operations at the Processing Unit.
Chief Minister and Minister-in-charge of Industries & Commerce, Dr. Neiphiu Rio in reply to the query said that the CFC Food Processing Unit at Yaongyimsen was likely to be completed and become operational within one year if the amount of 60 per cent Central Share is released by the ministry of MSME.
Supplementing on his question Nuklutoshi further underscored on the importance of timely completion of the project and that it would benefit lakhs of farmers from the area as well as from the neighbouring districts. He also requested the Chief Minister to intervene to ensure priority is given for the early completion of the CFC Food Processing Unit.
