On day two of the Bihar visit on 18th march 2026, a seven member media delegation from Nagaland moved beyond routine coverage gaining closer insights into the state’s development landscape through visits to key institutions and major projects in the state capital Patna.
A key highlight of the day was the interaction with Bihar’s Agriculture Minister, Ram Kripal Yadav, who presented makhana as a standout success in the state’s agri. sector. He noted that the crop now carrying a Geographical Indication (GI) tag, has steadily built an international presence driven by strategic branding and market outreach.
The delegation also interacted with Sanjay Kumar Agarwal IAS, Secretary to the Agriculture Department, Bihar, as well as officials from the Horticulture Department and officials of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) and Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) Patna.
The team also conducted an inspection of the Danapur–Bitha Elevated Corridor project, being implemented under the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and interacted with engineers and project officials at the site.
On day 3 the delegation visited Nalanda archeological site and Nalanda University and Bhimroa Ambedkar Residential School where an interaction with concerned officials and students was also held.
Blending field exposure with policy-level discussions the second day of the tour offered the visiting journalists a layered understanding of Bihar’s development narrative, while also opening avenues for cross-regional dialogue and collaboration.
