The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority under the Home Department will organize the 8th edition of the Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) on April 30, 2026.

            The large-scale mock exercise is being conducted by NSDMA with support from the National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. This year’s simulation will focus on earthquake and extreme weather disaster scenarios, aiming to strengthen the state’s preparedness and response capabilities.

            As part of the pre-event activities: A virtual capacity-building program is being held on April 22, 2026.

            The Table Top Exercise is scheduled for April 29, 2026 at the State Emergency Operation Centre, Capital Convention Centre, Kohima, with participation from officials of the line department AHoD/nodal officer for Disaster Management (in person). DDMAs along with other stakeholders will be attending the programme virtually. The link of the VC will be shared before the commencement of the programme.
