The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, has issued a circular directing all Village Councils, GBs and Colony Chairmen to carry out public announcements in their respective jurisdictions on June 26 and 27 ahead of the National Immunization Day (NIC) for Polio to be observed on June 28.

The circular stated that the awareness campaign aims to ensure maximum public participation in the immunization drive and encourage parents and guardians to bring their children to the nearest immunization booth.

According to the prescribed announcement, all children aged 0–5 years are requested to receive two drops of the Polio vaccine on June 28. The public has been urged to ensure that every eligible child is vaccinated and protected against polio.
