The Nagaland Board of School Education, Kohima has informed that in continuation of notification no.26/2026 dated 24th April 2026 and notification no.30/2026 dated 24th April 2026, it is hereby notified that the HSLC & HSSLC (Compartmental Examination & Improvement Examination) will be conducted on 9th to 20th June 2026.

Eligible candidate for Compartmental Examination and Improvement Examination is to fill up the application forms online through NBSE portal-nbsenl.edu.in from 11th May to 16th May 2026. The rate for HSLC fee is Rs. 600 per subject and HSSLC is Rs. 650 per subject. A successful candidate at the main HSLC/HSSLC Examination 2026 or a candidate who qualified at the main HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2026 but failed in one subject is also eligible to sit for Improvement Examination to be conducted in the month of June 2026. Improvement of performance is permissible for 1(one) chance only. Therefore, if a candidate failed to fill up the form for this Compartment/Improvement Examination 2026 then he/she will not eligible to appear the HSLC/HSSLC Examinations 2027 for improvement of performance.

            The Heads of institution must carefully verify the forms and make the payment. The students should surrender their original Admit Card and Marksheet to the school/centre from where their forms are being verified for onwards submission to the Board. The school/centre can submit the original Admit Card and Marksheet directly to the NBSE office or can send it through registered post within 30th May 2026.
