Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB) team comprising of Akangmeren Imchen, Scientist 'C', Limitsa S Sangtam, Scientist 'B' and Nikato Swu, Junior Engineer visited Pungro on 4th June 2026.
The team organized Awareness Programme on various Environmental issues at Government Middle School (GMS), Pungro Village, followed by another programme at Additional Deputy Commissioner Office, Pungro.
ADC Pungro, Hotolu Sema, NCS, welcomed the team with gratitude and introduction. Akangmeren Imchen, Scientist 'C' delivered a power point presentation on waste management and segregation. The programme was attended by Chairman of all Wards and GBs of Pungro Town.
The visit ended with spot inspection of the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and Town dumping site.
