The Department of Power has inform all concerned that, in view of the mock exercise “Operation Night Guard” - Civil Defence Air Raid/Blackout exercise being conducted as part of the annual Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx), there will be temporary power shutdown for 15 Minutes on 30th April 2026 from 6:30 pm to 6:45 pm across 10 Districts of the State namely Dimapur, Kohima, Mokokchung, Wokha, Zunheboto, Mon, Phek, Tuensang, Peren and Kiphire.
To ensure success of this exercise, the department appealed to the general public to cooperate by switching off all lights, electrical appliances, inverters and any other sources of illumination during the said time period.
Power supply shall subsequently be restored after the sounding of siren at 6:45 pm.
