The 16th Saramati Soccer Championship 2025, organized under the theme "Victory through Teamwork", concluded on 17th January 2025 at Public ground Pungro, Kiphire. Pujenvong FC lifted the Trophy and team Tsuwong FC emerged as the Runners up. The trophy was organized by the Saramati Nexus club in collaboration with the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland.

Gracing the closing ceremony as the special guest, Advisor for Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland, S Keoshu Yimkhiung exhorted and said that sporting talent should not be regarded merely as "Time Pass" affairs, but well organized with the dedication and objective to promote and to provide a platform for all the young football players in the area. He encouraged the players to focus on their skills and talents.

He also stated that sports is a vision to promote fitness culture and health awareness to eradicate the practice of using tobacco and unwanted substance among the youngsters and provides opportunities to players to play at the higher levels. He also said that such program would pave way for the players to come out and participate in sports.

The presidential address was delivered by Throngso K, while short speeches were delivered by Hosito Elias, Convener, Mini Hornbill festival 2025 and Additional Director, Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland. Special number was presented by Lensola. The program was chaired by General Secretary, Saramati Nexus Club, Adelin and invocation by Fr. Peter Pithungo, Parish Priest, St. Parish Pungro.
