The closing function of Skilling for women in rural areas was held at Town hall, Niuland on 13th September 2024. The program was graced by Deputy Commissioner Niuland, Sara S Jamir.
Jamir in her speech thanked the Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for bringing the skilling program to Niuland district. She highlighted that although, Niuland is still a developing district, and have resource constraints, she is happy that skilling programs are being undertaken.
She highlighted the need of becoming self-reliant and to ensure that economy of the district and state is circular and developed. She further encouraged the trainees to put into practise what they’ve learned and train more people to take up self-employment jobs. This will improve the overall economic and living condition and will take the district ahead. The DC later gave away the toolkits and certificates to 25 trainees.
The program was chaired by Officer in charge, WITI Chümoukedima, Ruyazelie Keyho, and the closing remark was pronounced by Employment Officer, Nibizo Nagi.
