Deputy Commissioner Kohima, B Henok Buche has issued an Office Memorandum stating that in line with a directive issued by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Nagaland, a Special Drive for the online registration and digitisation of old manual Birth and Death certificates will be conducted across Kohima District.

The drive will be held from 5th to 20th February, 2026 with the objective of transitioning manual records into the digital system to ensure easier access and verification processes.

During the special drive, citizens holding old manual Birth or Death certificates are advised to visit the District Economics and Statistics Office, Kohima, or their respective Registration Units within the stipulated period for digitisation of their records.
