A Table Top Exercise sequence" meeting was held at the DC Conference Hall, Chumoukedima, which was Organized by the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority as part of the Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) statewide Mega Mock Exercise. The event, aims to enhance disaster management preparedness and coordination among relevant authorities.

The session was introduced by DC and Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Chumoukedima, Polan John, alongside Dr. Kuzonyi Wideo, ADC & CEO of DDMA Chumoukedima.

The DC said that the exercise aims to test and improve disaster response and coordination capabilities, ensuring preparedness for potential emerged in the State. He also urged the Departments to take responsibility for what roles they have given and to make this mock drill a successful one as all the activities will be observed from the Central. 

The sequence of activities planned includes an introduction to the statewide Mega Mock Exercise, followed by a detailed briefing on the mock drill scenario, observer and self-assessment formats, and the site-in-charge format. An additional briefing on the search and rescue operation will be conducted by the Operation Section Chief (OSC).

The event will also feature a wireless set demonstration led by OC Wireless and a discussion on mobilization strategies.
