The office of the Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto has issue a notification informing that the District Planning & Development Board (DPDB), Zunheboto will be organizing an Intra-District U-23 Football Tournament at Public Ground, Zunheboto from 10th March to 14th March 2026. 
The tournament aims to promote sportsmanship and identify talented players for higher-level competitions. The organizing committee has outlined the following key guidelines:
All seven constituencies under Zunheboto district must field one team each, comprising 18 players and two officials.
Participation from all seven teams is mandatory. The district team for the state-level tournament will be selected based on performances in this tournament. Each team will receive a preparatory grant of ₹50,000.
Prize Structure:- Winner: ₹75,000, with certificates and a trophy, Runner-up: ₹50,000, with certificates and a shield, Both Semi-finalists: ₹25,000 each with certificates, Three Losing Teams: ₹10,000 each with certificates.
Accommodation arrangements will be managed by the respective teams at their own convenience.
Deputy Commissioner, Dharam Raj (IAS) has urged all concerned authorities and sports associations to ensure full participation and smooth conduct of the tournament. The event is expected to strengthen grassroots.
