Under yearlong Celebration programme of the International Year of Cooperative 2025, the department of Cooperation (Cooperative Society) Phek, in collaboration with District Forest department, Phek, organised and held Tree Plantation programme at Losami village of Phek on 5th June 2025 as part of celebrating the World Environment Day with the theme "EK PED MAA NAAM (ONE TREE IN MOTHER'S NAME) ". 

Asst. Conservator of Forests, Phek, Dzuthovito Lcho, addressed the programme and spoke about the effects of Global warming and climate change and also shared the importance of planting trees and for nurturing the saplings.

EAC, Phek Hq, Balong Phom, also delivered a short speech in which he mentioned the importance of mother's nature and the gifts of nature.

In his welcome address, ARCS Phek, Jacop highlighted the yearlong celebrations of the International Year of Cooperative 2025 with a theme "EK PED MAA KE NAAM (ONE TREE IN MOTHER'S NAME)".

Zecheta Mekrisuh, VCC Losami spoke and acknowledged his happiness and extended appreciation for the programme. Kuiyipu Shau, ICS chaired the programme, while Kezuwelo Akami, vice Chairman, Multipurpose Primary Agriculture Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Losami pronounced the vote of thanks.
