In Pursuant to the detection of African Swine Fever (ASF) in various locations of Kohima district. ADC Kohima Rhosietho Nguori has notified the following areas to be Infected Zones and Surveillance Zones.

A.    (i) Infected Zone: Jakhama Village (1km radius of infected premises).

(ii) Surveillance Zone: 10 km radius from the infected premises (9km radius outside the infected zones)

B.     (i) Infected Zone: Khonoma Village (1km radius of infected premises)

C.     (ii) Surveillance Zone: 10Km radius from the infected premises) (9km radius outside the infected zones)

The Order Stated the following restrictions are to be strictly adhered to in the aforementioned locations until further order.

Ban on Slaughter of Pigs; Ban on import and export of Pigs and Piglets; Ban on transportation of Pigs and Pork.
