In continuation of the efforts to restore connectivity following the recent extreme weather events, the ADC issues an information to the general public that the Tangha-Kangching-Tamlu-Merangkong-Dimapur route has been restored and is now open for movement of Light Motor Vehicle (LMVs).

It is further informed that the Changtongya-Dikhu section of NH-702 (Package-I) has also been made motorable and is open for movement of Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs).

However, owing to the prevailing severe weather and the continuing occurrence of rockfalls, landslides and slope instability along the said stretch, in the interest of public safety, the movement of vehicles on the Changtongya-Dikhu section of NH 702 (package-l) shall remain prohibited between 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM with immediate effect.

Furthermore, in view of the prevailing weather conditions, all commuters are advised to undertake travel only when absolutely necessary, remain vigilant while negotiating vulnerable stretches, and refrain from travelling during periods of heavy rainfall or low visibility.

This advisory shall remain in force until further orders.
