Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tseminyu, W. Manpai Phom has notified that parking of heavy vehicles in Tseminyu New Town alongside the national highway/arterial roads as well as loading/unloading of goods from/on vehicles along such roads during the day time causes avoidable traffic jams and space congestions, thereby hampering smooth traffic movement and regulation.
Therefore in the interest of facilitation smooth traffic movement and regulations in the Town roads the following regulations are hereby laid down for strict compliance by all concerned:
- Heavy vehicles shall not be parked alongside the stretch of national highway/main road between the LPG gas agency area (main road junction) and the Bank of Baroda of Tseminyu new town on all days. The wider roadside portion of the highway from LPG gas agency areas towards Tseminyu old Town may be utilized as alternative parking spots for the heavy vehicles.
- Loading/unloading of goods/materials on/from vehicles alongside the main Town shall not be permitted during the day such loading/unloading should be completed by 8.00AM.
- Other vehicles park haphazardly that obstructs/tends to obstruct the smooth flow of traffic.
- Any vehicles owner/driver found in contravention of the above regulations shall be liable to be fined/booked under appropriate provisions of the law.
The order shall come into force from 28th June 2021.
