To take stock of the COVID-19 situation at Suruhuto, Advisor for Tourism and Art and Culture, H. Khehovi Yepthomi visited Suruhuto town on 10th June 2021.
The Advisor convened a short meeting with the Health Care and Management Committee (HCMC) members headed by SDO (C) Suruhuto, Dr.Kuzonyi Wideo, and members including senior citizens, church leaders from different denomination, STSU, MO and the PHC staff.
He appealed to the citizen of Suruhuto to be more vigilant and cautious of their own health as they battle with the Covid situation. He expressed his concern over the public's irresponsible attitude and behavior for not properly following the SOPs laid down by the Government even as covid positive cases are on the rise in the town. In this regard, he requested the public to act more responsible by educating one another and following the covid laid down norms.
The Advisor also highlighted the Government norms and policies for the maintenance and renovation of PHC buildings and assured to start the work at the earliest and entrusted the HCMC to oversee the works to be shortly executed. He thanked all the frontline workers for their selfless sacrifices and also sought the general public cooperation until the covid war is won.
The Advisor also donated two oxygen concentrators, one SD generator, medicines worth ₹ 2.5 lakhs and a cash of ₹ 1.5 lakh to HCMC for any unexpected emergencies.
