The Tuensang District Skill Committee had a meeting with Advisor Industries & Commerce, Labour & Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Imnatiba Jamir at DC’s conference hall on 25th August 2021. The meeting was chaired by Kumar Ramnikant DC & Chairman DSC, Tuensang.

The Advisor said that Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is a centrally sponsored scheme which can address unemployment problems and encouraged the people to take advantage of the scheme. By encouraging each other with efficient officers in the district we can work together towards easing unemployment issues, he added. 

In the interactive session the house discussed on several  issues including job placements after completion of trainings, delay in funding, lack of marketing, lack of common facility centres, lack of nexus between government agencies and the private entrepreneurs in working policies lack of convergence in the departments.
