Advisor of School Education K.T. Sukhalu inaugurated the newly upgraded Government Higher Secondary School Akuluto on 16th September 2021 in the presence of Kazheto Kinimi, Advisor of NSDMA &CAWD.
Director School Education, Wonthungo Tsopoe, in his short speech, said that upgrading the school was done with a belief that Akuluto Hr. Sec. School will definitely produce good results and good leaders and also to bring good education facilities to their doorstep and so requested the education committee and teachers to not let the departments expectations down.
Advisor of NSDMA & CAWD, Kazheto Kinimi thanked the Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and especially K.T. Sukhalu for making the dreams of the people of Akuluto and surrounding villagers dreams a reality. He also requested the people of his constituency to leave aside political differences and come together and support him so that they can work together and bring more development to their place.
Advisor K.T. Sukhalu in his inaugural speech thanked the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for upgrading a total of eight GHS to GHSS. He added that the Government main aim is to give good and free education to all the students and so encouraged the parents to not hesitate in sending their children to government schools. He also requested the elders and various organizations to support teacher's in their good and bad times so that they will teach their children with full dedication and sincerity and also support the school education committee so that the school produce good results or else if the school doesn't show good results, the department will have no option but to downgrade it to high school again. The Advisor further stated that the present times or present generation was an education and intellectual era and not force and might era and so requested the parents to not decide what their children will be in future but rather if their foundation is good they can themselves find their ways and become a successful person.
To the teaching faculty he requested them to be sincere and honest in teaching saying that if the foundation of the students is weak or poor, they will never succeed in future citing an example that when weeds grow in flower pots or fields they are removed so that flowers and crops grow better and yield is more and so requested them to try to give their best to give a good Foundation to the students. The Advisor requested the people to avoid all unnecessary misconceptions about ill effects of Covid vaccine and advised them to get themselves vaccinated as the pandemic will grow if the people do not follow government's SOPs.
The programme was chaired by Kheghoto Sema, GT GHS Akuluto and Jasper Achumi. Students of GHS Akuluto presented a special number and Sumi folk song. Welcome address was given by Hotovi Chishi GB, President AAGBA while short speeches were delivered by Kughaho Assumi, President VAAGBA and Wonthungo Tsopoe, Director School Education.
