Advisor for Water Resources, Namri Nchang who is also the Legislator incharge of Peren District visited SDO(C) Office, Athibung town along with DC & CMO Peren to have an interaction with Medical staff, town councils and various organization on 30th April, 2020.

During the meeting, Namri Nchang lauded the District Administration, Medical Teams and all Frontline workers for their pro-active roles amidst the outbreak of COVID-19 and also urged the general public, town councils, GBs of various villages under Ahthibung Sub-division of Ahthibung town to extend support to the District Administration even in the days to come. He also requested Medical team, SDO (C) and town councils to strictly adhere with the quarantine protocols issued by the Government once those stranded students and workers are allowed to enter the district as well as create awareness on how to respond if any incident related to COVID-19 arises.

The Advisor also added, social distancing is the best weapon to use in the combat against the global pandemic and further implored everyone present to be mentally prepared for third wave of lockdown and also to be aware once lockdown is relaxed.
