With the objective to reach out to the drivers whose livelihood were effected due to the COVID-19pandemic crisis the All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Wokha unit on 4th July 2020 provided relief for the second time in the form of rice, M/oil, pulses, onion and salt to all its members both local and regional taxi drivers.
President ANTA Wokha, Hayithung Odyuo, during the distribution at its office urged all the drivers to strictly adhere by the laid down SOPs and precautionary measures like wearing of mask and use of hand sanitizers, he also advised taxis plying in an around the town to regularly disinfect their vehicles for the safety of the passengers. He also highlighted the activities undertaken by the Association for the welfare of their members during this crisis.
General Secretary ANTA Wokha, Lipenthung Ovung also advised the local taxi drivers to follow the odd and even traffic rules issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha.
The Association also expressed gratitude to the local MLA Dr. Chumben Murry and Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha and other well wishers (taxi owners) who extended support during testing times.
