The ‘Best Morung 2025’ Awards ceremony held at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, Kohima on 10th December 2025 awarded the Ao Morung as the Best Morung 2025 at the 26th Edition of Hornbill Festival while the Pochury Morung and Kuki Morung bagged the 1st and 2nd runners up respectively. The winners received a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/-, Rs. 30,000/- and Rs. 20,000/- respectively along with certificates while all cultural troupes were also awarded cash prizes and certificates during the occasion.
The prize and credentials were given out by the Chairperson, Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority, Sivasubramanian Ramann who was the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Chief Secretary of Nagaland, Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS.
