Sensing the impending stringent measures or possible lockdown that may be enforced due to the rising of Covid positive cases day by day in the State, the officer bearers of the Angami Women Organization (AWO) visited and supported the Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home on 24th January 2022, which is housing 95 inmates (69 boys and 26 girls) at present.

As a gesture of love and concern shown towards inmates of the home, food items such as rice, masoor dal, potatoes, onions, cooking oil, milk, tea leaves, sugar, tooth brushes, tooth paste and sweets were given.

This is the second venture of the orphanage visit by the AWO, fended from the offering collected in an Advent Christmas programme organized by the Angami Gazetted Officers’ Krotho (AGOK) on 14th December 2021, commemorating 50 years of the existence of Angami Public Organization (APO).
