“A total of 118 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today – 13 in Kohima, 93 in Dimapur, 9 in Mon and 3 in Peren. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 7,816.

Out of the 7,816 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 6,141. The active cases are 1,582 and there have been 21 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,522 active cases are asymptomatic, 41 active cases are mild, 11 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 5 active cases are severe on oxygen, 2 active cases are critical with oxygen and 1 active case is on ventilator.

Further, out of 7,816 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 3,477 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,601 cases of Returnees, 2,353 cases of Traced Contacts and 385 cases of Frontline Workers.

A total of 57,406 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 56,185 samples have been received. In addition, a total 31,570 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 31,537 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 2,685 samples have been tested.”
