BRIEFING ON COVID-19 ON 27th OF SEPTEMBER 2020 FOR NAGALAND BY PRINCIPAL SECRETARY, HOME

The Full Text is as Follows:

“A total of 84 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today - 9 in Kohima, 71 in Dimapur, 1 in Mon, and 3 in Longleng. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 5,946.

Out of the 5,946 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 4,848. The active cases are 1,042 and there have been 11 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,022 active cases are asymptomatic, 14 active cases are mild, 4 active cases are moderate and 2 active cases are on ventilator.

Further, out of the 5,946 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are:  2,798 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,479 cases of Returnees, 1,332 cases of Traced Contacts and 337 cases of Frontline Workers.

A total of 49,910 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 48,667 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 27,748 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 27,663 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test, 1,623 samples have been tested.

A total 409 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine”.
