“A revised SOP for the persons entering Nagaland has been issued today in pursuance to the decisions taken in the meeting of the High Powered Committee on 7th of September 2020.
In addition to the existing provisions of Quarantine - Institutional or Paid Quarantine, every person entering Nagaland will be given the option for Home Quarantine if he/she is asymptomatic, and on his/her submitting an undertaking that he/she has a single room with attached washroom or a washroom conveniently located. Home Quarantine will be allowed at only those locations in the State which has testing facility for COVID-19.
The person entering Nagaland will be have to register on nCOVID Nagaland Visitors App and also on Aarogya Setu app, and provide his/her details as well as the undertaking online on nCOVID Nagaland Visitors App or on the portal covid-19.nagaland.gov.in or fill up the hard copy of the form/undertaking at the point of entry.
The duration of Home Quarantine will be for 14 days and if the person remains asymptomatic all throughout, he/she will be released from quarantine without testing. The person while being on quarantine will update his/her health status twice in a day on nCOVID Nagaland Visitors App.
In case the person does not have a suitable room for home quarantining in his/her house, the person may go for institutional quarantine at a facility maintained by Government. At the Institutional Quarantine Facility, the person will be charged for fooding at the rate fixed by respective District Task Force.The person may even opt for hotel/ lodge identified by the District Task Force.The duration of quarantine in all of the above cases will be 14 days.
In case the person in quarantine is asymptomatic and wants to be released from quarantine prematurely, he/she may get tested on payment after having completed 4 days of quarantine, and on being tested negative, the person will be released.
Any person entering Nagaland by Air or self arranged vehicle for urgent and essential works, and is not in a position to quarantine, he/she may give prior intimation to the respective District Task Force and if the period of stay is less than 48 hours, he/she may enter Nagaland after obtaining clearance, for performing the works while following all health safety norms. However, if the period of stay in the State is more than 48 hours then the person entering should get himself/herself tested on RT-PCR or TRUENAT at his/her current location and not earlier than 2 days of the proposed arrival to Nagaland, and with a negative test result such person may enter the State by Air or self arranged vehicle and attend to his/her normal routine. If the duration of stay of such a person is likely to be more than 7 days in the State then, he/she will be required to be tested after 5 days of arrival on RT-PCR or TRUENAT on payment and on his testing negative, he/she will continue with normal routine.
The Government Servants on-duty, requiring exemption from Quarantine because of unavoidable reasons, on entry into the State from outside will also be covered by these provisions.
Anyone going outside the State by road in self arranged vehicle and returning within 24 hours without night halt will not be required to quarantine and will carry on with normal routine while following all health safety norms.
As regards the number of positive cases detected today in the State, it is 130. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 4,375. Out of the 4,375 positive cases, the total active cases presently are 578. As per the severity of symptoms, 566 active cases are asymptomatic, 9 active cases are mild and 3 active cases are moderate.
Further, out of the 4,375 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 1,893 cases from Armed Forces, 1,321 cases from Returnees, 311 cases of Frontline Workers and 850 cases of Traced Contacts.
A total of 864 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine”.
