CELEBRATION OF POSHAN ABHIYAN AT LONGLENG

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Longleng along with allied departments celebrated Poshan Maah under Poshan Abhiyaan on Balance Diet & Healthy Life on 17th September 2020 at EBRC hall Longleng with Trongdiba Tongpi SDO (C) Longleng as special guest and Dr. Lily Ngullie ACTO (A/Sc.) KVK Longleng as chairperson.

The Special guest in his address acknowledged the departments and all Anganwadi workers for rendering their service for the betterment of the society. He emphasized on making use of the funds provided by the Government with honesty and encouraged them to be sincere with the trainings provided by the Department. Special guest also handed over the seeds to the beneficiary.

Longlang CDPO, Nodal officers Longleng in his short speech said that Poshan Maah is celebrated every year under Poshn Abhiyaan. He spoke on identifying (MAM & FAM), and the importance of kitchen gardening and appealed to all citizens on starting up kitchen gardens in all Anganwadi centers.

Lemjan Phom DFS NSRLM gave a presentation on Nutrition garden and in the technical session, A. Namei, KVK briefed on cultivation practices of different vegetable crops. Vote of thanks was delivered by Watilong Longkumer.
