A five-day “Certificate Course on Counselling and Thematic Issues” was organized by the State Level Coordinating Agency Kripa Foundation, Nagaland from 3rd to 7th March 2022 at Hotel Bravo Royal, Half Nagarjan, Dimapur.
The participants were trained on drugs of addiction & their medical psychological effects, treatment of alcohol abuse, concept of drug addiction counseling, skills in drug addiction, conflict resolution, counseling technique, importance of self-care in counseling, behavioral change communication, documentation, understanding women and substance abuse/ management, 12 steps treatment module, working with families of addicts and relapse management.
A field visit to Shalom Rehabilitation Centre, Chumukedima was made on 6th March 2022 by all the trainees, where a small program was held, followed by interactions with the staff of the centre. Certificates were awarded to all the participants by Assistant Director, Social Welfare Department, Wango Langsym.
A total of 24 participants from the states of Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland attended the Training Course.The program was supported by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India and Social Welfare Department, Govt. of Nagaland.
