Imkong L. Imchen, Chairman of the Committee on Public Undertakings (COPU), along with committee members Hekani Jakhalu, Imkongmar, and Dr. Neisatuo Mero, accompanied by the Assembly Secretariat, conducted an "On-the-Spot Verification '' of several establishments on 10th November 2023. The sites inspected included:

Decorative & Dimensional Stone Plant (NSMDC), Chumoukedima; Nagaland Handloom & Handicraft Development Corporation (NHHDC) Office, Dimapur; Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC) Office, Dimapur; and Hotel Saramati, Dimapur.

The committee conducted a physical inspection of these sites and offices to gather first-hand information about the challenges faced by these establishments. Emphasizing the importance of financial sustainability, the Committee asserted that Government Corporations should operate profitably and independently.

During the inspection, the Committee advised the establishments not to be complacent but rather foster innovation in their operations. They recommended taking stringent measures to address issues such as overstaffing and cautioned against unnecessary appointments.
